Two Local Amateur Golfers Qualify for the Aurora Health Care Championship Starting May 30

After an exciting qualifying round that ended in a playoff, two Wisconsin golfers have qualified to compete in the Duramed FUTURES Tour event at Geneva National Golf Club May 30 - June 1 in Lake Geneva, Wis.

Molly Schemm of Ft. Atkinson and Kelsey Verbeten of Green Bay will join 142 professional golfers to compete in the Aurora Health Care Championship beginning this Friday. Both players will be in attendance during Media Day on May 28.

Molly attends the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls and is planning to transfer to UW Madison where Kelsey is a student and member of the golf team. Additional information is being posted on www.duramedfuturestour.com.

After 18 holes three players were tied at the top. It required two playoff holes for Molly and Kelsey to eliminate Seul Ki Park who attends the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Carly Werwei of Kenosha, a qualifier in each of the last two years, finished one shot off the pace for a spot in the playoff.
